Body to body massage in Amsterdam after a long flight, for a body folded into a seat for hours
A long-haul seat is hard on any body and harder on a tall or broad one. Guests who land after many hours folded into a row often book a body to body massage in Amsterdam for that evening or the next morning, mostly to feel like their own size again. A few practical choices make that hour work much better.
the piece
Economy seats are built for an average body, and anyone above it spends the flight negotiating with the row in front: knees against the seatback, shoulders against a neighbour, a neck that never quite finds the headrest. By landing, the body has been held in one awkward shape for a very long time. Nothing arranged here treats the effects of a flight, but the hour can be set up so that it meets that body where it is.
When to book a body to body massage in Amsterdam after landing
Two timings work well. The first is the evening of arrival, once you have reached the hotel, showered and eaten something light; book for a time that gives you space to do all three without rushing. The second is the next morning, after a night's sleep, when the body is less tired but still stiff. Booking the moment you land, before you know how the evening will feel, tends to work less well.
A slow start for a body that was folded
Ask for the opening to be slow and broad, on the back first, with no quick changes of position. A body that has been held still for a long time does not want to be rushed into moving. If your legs or ankles feel heavy, mention it, and if lying flat is uncomfortable after the flight, a pillow under the knees changes a great deal.
The floor after a long seat
For a tall guest the floor is the obvious surface after a flight: it is the first time in a day that the whole body can lie out at full length. A folded duvet under her towels, a warm room, and the length of the room to stretch into. The page for a tall guest covers the rest of the arrangement.
Jet lag and the length you choose
If your body clock is many hours away from Amsterdam time, you may fall asleep during the session or be wide awake at three in the morning. Neither is a problem. Choose a length you will be awake for, and say whether you would like to drift off at the close. Arrival is forty to sixty minutes after the hour is agreed, at any central address, so a booking can be made once you know how you feel.
A first booking is held with half the figure ahead, as is any booking made more than a day before it begins. If you are staying at an airport hotel rather than in the city, that booking is arranged separately, with the travel time settled in writing first. The booking page sets out the message itself.
